And don’t overlook the value to our mental health of reading about things other than bombs, politicians, and world suffering. The state of the world sucks and we’re all mortal, but if we don’t take a break in the woods once in a while, even a virtual one, we’ll go crazy.

Bryan, eloquently said, as always. That painted bunting is amazing. A great reminder of nature’s beauty as we look at man’s desecration out our snow-vanishing landscape in Vermont. Substack must be the clunkiest name ever for a site for great reading! Does this make you a “Substacker?”
