Oh my gosh, the moths are gorgeous. Once in a while we're lucky enough to see a Luna Moth, but I haven't come across the others... yet. And thanks for the shout out. The field trip was a blast - you are so clever!

Aw, shucks — thanks, Susannah. Very kind of you. Oh, your potential with moths! I’ll have an essay on that in July. You’ve got some incredibly wonderful and diverse moths flying near you right now and well into July.

These moths are stunning. They would make for gorgeous watercolor paintings I think 😍

I wrote about love this week too if you want to distract yourself and check it out. https://pocketfulofprose.substack.com/p/a-rainbow-is-an-internal-reflection Or you can answer the thing that’s been on my mind all weekend, which is how do you photograph moths when they are so darn fast? But probably you should get back to the important writing about love. 😊

Leave a porch light on if you're near deciduous woods in the eastern US. They're not always on the wing - depends on where you live. (Be sure to turn off the light after you've had your visit with the moths.)
